In every game this big – world of warcraft has something like eleven million subscribers – there are people who you can pay to do nearly anything for you. Like power leveling, you can also buy gold, the currency used to buy items, repair your gear and pay people in the game to do things for you. There are two primary ways to get gold in the game: questing, or buying and selling items for profit.
On the shadier side, right next to its partner the power leveling service, is the provider of gold on the internet. You visit a website, enter in your character name, the server you play on, whether you are Horde or Alliance, and are given a price plan. Most sites work in 10, 100, 500, 1000 gold increments, and you can get gold for pennies. Before The Burning Crusade came out, gold was more expensive, and now that Wrath of the Lich King is out, gold is super super cheap.
No matter where you find out about it, in Trade chat, in random private messages from other players, or by Google searching, there are dozens upon dozens of websites that have Wow gold for sale. I think I may buy some soon, farming for your epic flight training is tedious no matter how much gold you get for Sons of Hodir daily quests!
One thing about World of Warcraft that you’ll learn pretty fast – if there is a real dollar to be made from it, people find a way to make it work. Gold, levels, honor grinding, rep grinding, you name it, there’s someone out there selling their time to do your work for you.
