world of warcraft orc hunter tips
What skills should I learn first as an orc hunter in World of Warcraft?
Hey folks. I just started a trial for Wow (only what, 4 years slow, right?), and I’m going to be playing an orc hunter. What skills would you recommend learning? Also, what beasts/pets would you recommend? Do they have rats, wolves, bears? Any other tips you can think of?
Yes. I’m that new.
It really depends on your play style.
You can’t really go wrong with a bear. They eat ANYTHING including conjured mage bread. They have great armor and health. Their dps isn’t stellar compared to other pet classes but that’s not why you get the bear, he’s a tank plain and simple.
My hunter (lvl 66) uses a big cat (dps class pet). Without the beast skills like natural armor and greater stamina he wouldn’t be very durable. Also I am a beast mastery specialized hunter which gives him even more armor and health. He does sick damage and is able to handle adds well.
As far as skills, I assume you mean where to spend your talent points. You should buy all your spells from your trainer, you never know when you’ll run into a situation that a certain ability was made for. Talentwise, for levelling I recommend beast mastery. You will be very self-sufficient and capable of grinding mobs 3-4 levels higher than you with speed and minimal downtime compared to other classes.
You may want to consider respeccing to Marksmanship in the higher levels as they are dps machines in the instances with the right gear.
As far as the survival tree goes I can’t say much, as I have never spent any points in that tree and don’t know any hunters personally who went to the top of that tree.
There is a site called Petopia that lists all the available pets and abilities and is extremely useful in helping you manage your pet. I highly recommend it if you are new to the hunter class.
