The Paladin is a fun class to play. Their utility is what makes them such a valued class in end game raiding. Their Blessings, “Hand” skills, Healing spells, and other utility spells, makes them one of the most versatile classes in World of Warcraft.
Tanking
Paladins are considered one the best multi-target tanking classes. Consecration and Righteous Fury make them one of the best classes to level up as a tank (After level 20, when you get Consecration). This combo will, more often than not, be enough to keep mobs on you and not running to attack your DPS or healers. Also, queueing as tank in Random Dungeon Finder gives you an almost instant entrance. The only wait is if there aren’t any healers queued up. This is the fastest way to level as Paladin.
Healer
Paladins are also considered the best single target healers. Spells like Divine Illumination and Beacon of Light can really make 1 – 2 target healing much more efficient. Most of what you will be doing, is Flash of Light spamming. A Paladin can spam that spell for almost an eternity. This kind of efficiency also makes Holy Paladins one of the best PvP healers in the game. Queueing up for Random Dungeon Finder is only a bit slower than a tank, so this is still fastest way to level.
DPS
A Retribution Paladin is one of the most boring classes to level. Autoattack is most of what you will be doing while leveling. Your spell rotation will get bigger once you add Crusader Strike, Divine Storm, and Exorcism, though it will still be very short. Any kind of procs will not change your rotation all that much. So, that’s, at most, 5 spells you’re using. Normal rotation (Especially against normal mobs) is only 3 spells. This is how I leveled Paladin. It was slow. I recommend constantly queueing up in the Random Dungeon Finder every change you get. The weapons/armor alone will help to speed things up tremendously.
