World of Warcraft: How do you increase your Pet’s damage?
I’m a level 64 BM Hunter and lately I’ve noticed that my pet’s damage has been a lot lower than mine. My damage rating ranges in the upper 200s while my pet ranges in the upper 100s. To me those are both low numbers for my level. All of my talent points are in BM, save for two that I placed in Survival and one that I placed in Marksman. Most all of my armor adds to my attack power and crit rating, but everything still seems low. Should my damage be higher by now, and how do I get my pet to deal better damage? Thank you for any help you can give.
pets are still rated for pre BC lvls during your early adventures in outlands so yes there damage won’t go up much as your is seeing a huge increase in damage due to the quality of items that are droping from quest and mobs are in a huge % over what you were getting at lvl 57-59. This is to increase the value of BC items over preBC items. you’ll notice this even more as you continue to get to 70. however
once you hit 70. your pet will find new found damage as the pet system seems to correct it self about lvl 69-70.
BM hunters are still the best hunters in the game damage wise intill your about T5-T6. ssc/tk MH/BT/sunwell
till then i’d stick to BM you’ll pwn face in karazhan and in battlegrounds.
once you get about 700-900 agility and your at least full T5 that’s when most hunters start switching over to marksmen. mind you i am in a sunwell guild right now and we still have 2 of our 5 hunters as BM for group support there damage is’t that high but there pet buff is very useful to casters and that’s why they get there raid spot.
