How do I use my microphone headset combo?
I recently bought a microphone headset combo for the PC that kinda looks like this:

except it has wires and I know that the red/pink end of one if for the microphone and the black/blue/green end is for the headset. I know how to plug in the headset park but I DON’T know how to plug in the microphone part. I tried everything – even researched online but all I got was just “Sales on Mic’s and Headphones”. Please, please, PLEASE help me! I want to get the mic thing set up so that I can talk to people online on Wow (World of Warcraft) on Ventrillo. Advice and such is greatly appreciated!
It might actually depend on your computer. I have a very similar headset and it has the same two cords that you described, one for the headphones and one for the mic. On my computer I have two ports though, one with a little headphone icon and one with a microphone icon, so it was pretty self-explanitory for my headset. Search the front, sides, and back of your computer if you have a laptop, but if you have a monitor and a tower, the microphone port is usually on the back of the tower with all of the other cords. If you simply don’t have a microphone port at all, there may be some sort of cord that can change a usb port to a microphone port.
