How do you play World of Warcraft Cataclysm for free?
i heard that theres a free beta version of it.and do you need a Wow account to play?
You will have to register your Battle.Net account for Open Beta consideration. THEN once they do release a beta for the game, you face a RNG of getting into the beta. Unless your in one of the top 1% guilds who are pushing the envelope in this game, the odds of getting into beta seems very slim. And yes you would need a active WoW account to play in the beta. Once they get ready to actually launch the expansion, its possible they will drop some encounters on the PTR but unlikely. Hope that helps.
