Is there a way I can buy world of warcraft online and get an authentication key online?
Yes, if you go to www.worldofwarcraft.com there are options to download the game. I believe the cost is $20 for the original Wow and then another $20 if you want to upgrade to the Burning Crusade. If you don’t care about being a Blood Elf or a Draeni, the upgrade can always wait.
If you do have access to a store that sells games though, I highly recommend the WoW BattleChest. It costs $40, which you’ll end up spending in the end anyway, plus it gives you a couple of books with tips/guides/strategies/etc. Gives you a bit of light reading when you can’t be at your computer or while you doze off to sleep.
