WoW Retail inside trial?
well i currently found all the retail game files packed inside the trial folder
if theyre in there does it mean its the same as a retail game?
i know its not but it actually downloads the entire game piece by piece as you go which is a bit better
but if you have an actual account you can play it right?
like..
play the actual account on the downloaded client.
because in my opinion the only thing you actually buy is the account not the whole game..
because the trial comes set as
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

so all you basically buy is the account…
right?
and yea.. you need the retail box to get a authentication key but that can be purchased off blizzard.com too
so basically..
if you have a retail account (paid subscription)
you can play it on the client right?
While on a trial account, the Streaming Trial Client (TryWow.exe) is presented for download by default. This client is much smaller compared to the full retail client and cannot be used with a full retail account. After upgrading a trial account to a full retail account, you will be prompted to download the full retail version of World of Warcraft (InstallWoW.exe).
The full retail version of World of Warcraft (InstallWoW.exe) can be used by both a trial account and a full retail account.

The Trial Account is simply for the Classic game, it does not include The Burning Crusade expansion (you cannot create Blood Elves, Draenei or visit Outlands) or Wrath of the Lich King expansion (you cannot create Death Knights or visit Northrend).
You can upgrade your Trial Account to a full retail account online via the Direct Online Upgrade page at:
