world of warcraft viruses?
My computer has had a bad history trying to play world of warcraft.
I stopped playing around a few months ago, but now that Wrath of The Lich King is here, I thought I’d get back on to playing. So I reinstalled the game.
As I’m downloading all the old patches (in order to get the game up to date), I keep getting all these notices about Trojans. It’s annoying and a bit odd. I thought Blizzard would have a no-virus policy in their games, so I’m trying to figure out what the problem is.
Is there any possible explanation?
Is it as of patch 2.3.2? And, are you using Avast or AVG for your virus scanner?
There is data on false positives popping up for some scanners, and manually downloading the most recent virus definitions seemed to help.

Avast! told me the same thing — that some of the patches contain viruses, but they do not actually. Updating the virus database fixed it.
